If you're looking forward to a future of streaming movies, gargantuan Internet file exchanges, and other high-bandwidth activities, cheer up.

That's enough to download a music album in as little as 5 seconds, an hour-long TV show in about 30 seconds, and a high-definition movie in roughly 7 minutes 25 seconds. But it's going to cost you.
This should make the Federal Communications Commission's goal of getting 100Mbps service to 100 million homes by 2020 an easily achievable goal. Several weeks ago, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said he is making the 100 Mbps to 100 million homes goal a part of the National Broadband Plan that will be presented to Congress next month.

Electronics and gaming giant Sony has said that it is developing a gaming phone that is capable of playing PlayStation games. The phone will be developed and manufactured through Sony´s joint venture, Sony Ericsson.
Sony said: "As already announced, Sony and Sony Ericsson have been strengthening their collaboration in the networked mobile space. However, it is not our strategy to discuss future products or business plans before we make a formal announcement."
Sony has, in the past, rejected the idea of phones being used for gaming but with the huge popularity of gaming applications for handsets like the iPhone, the company has started to rethink its strategy in the mobile communications market.

On Wednesday morning a horrific accident occurred in the town of Townswille in Qeensland, Australia, in which an unnamed woman, 42, died when she was going to work. A lawnmower caused her death.
When she was walking past an empty block of land where a lawn cutter was being used not far from her, a chunk metal struck by it flew her at her head, decapitating her.
Police do not know if the flying chunk of metal was a blade of the grass cutter or something else.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a case in which a kid in the air traffic control center directed planes at the Kennedy Airport in New York, as an audio recording indicates. The child was heard on tape direct directing pilots.
The FAA condemns the act, which occurred last month, as it is not acceptable at a place where a big responsibility is required, even though the kid was under an adult´s supervision. Generally children are not allowed to be in the control center.
The FAA´s approval is needed if an employee wants to take a child on a visit.
